Description

The Derbyshire Flying Centre was established in 1987 by Stephen Hudson CFI - British Hang Gliding team member.

The UK is the best place to learn to free fly. We are here to open up new horizons for you to share what has been described as "an experience beyond imagination" the ability to fly as free as a bird.

For over twenty years we have negotiated training hills in the beautiful Peak District National Park and have access to free flying hill sites covering all wind directions and all pilot abilities.

Expertise
Flight instruction is carried out by British Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association qualified instructors. We are a friendly team whose intimate knowledge of local sites and conditions will make your passage to pilot a success. We have a history of successfully qualifying people to club pilot standard.

Courses

Paragliding & Hang-gliding
Choose from a one day Taster, with the option to upgrade to the 2 day Introductory Course. There is also a 5 day Elimentary Course after which you may decide to take up he sport and attend the 5 day Club Pilot Course.

Paramotoring
Beginners two Day familiarisation Course. As well as learning the basic theory of flying a paraglider, you will be thoroughly introduced to the equipment, learn safety techniques, canopy handling and inflation techniques.

Location
The school is situated in the centre of the Peak District only forty minutes drive from Sheffield, Manchester, Derby and only three hours from London.
