The Mersea Island Cookery School in Essex provides hands-on cookery classes in a friendly and relaxed environment. Classes are taught by successful professional chefs and use seasonal and local produce, and lots of seafood.The school is bart of Ben's Fish Ltd who supply many of London's top eateries.

One Day Cooking Courses

These courses are a great way to learn new cooking skills, get plenty of hands-on experience and will have you producing a delicious three-course lunch. Mersea Island is renowned for its fresh seafood and we incorporate this into our courses.

Learn how to select the best fresh fish. Learn how to prepare it with by filleting and pin boning and learn some fantastic skills and recipes for cooking it. Courses run throughout the year and themes include:
