Calvert Trust Kielder

Calvert Trust Kielder provides excellent, tailor-made, outdoor activity days, residential breaks and adult respite care packages. We welcome guests of all ages and abilities. Our centre is in the Kielder Water and Forest Park, set in our own 40-acre woodland site. This beautiful location has 27 miles of shoreline making this the ideal holiday setting, full of wildlife and flora and fresh and clean air.

Take part in watersports (we have a hoist on the jetty to allow access for all), or take on the challenge of our indoor climbing wall. The outdoor wall is still a favourite, however the King Swing remains the most thrilling for our visitors.

Three Types of Holiday

Activity Holidays
You can visit with friends, family, a carer or in a larger group and do a wide range of on-site activities, available to all ages and abilities. Our package include home-cooked meals and fully accessible accommodation. Our team lead the activity programmes and our instructors are fully qualified to teach disabilities.

Respite Care with Activities

These breaks are designed for people who require personal care and support. Anyone with physical, learning or sensory disabilities will get a tailored break to suit them, whether you are looking for adventure and excitement or relaxation and pampering.

Day Visitors

You don't have to be on holiday to get involved with our activities. Come along for a day or a half day and join in our activities. Or if you would like a special pamper package come and make use of our sensory room or hydrotherapy pool and aromatherapy treatments. The Kielder centre is an ideal place to experience something a bit different.
