Description
Our friendly and informative Moorlands Bushcraft team specialise in sharing their bushcraft skills and knowledge needed for you to experience and enjoy living in the woods, and on the moors, in a comfortable, simple and traditional way. It is far more than just surviving; it is about embracing and living the experience.Moorlands Bushcraft are based on the Staffordshire Moorlands and operate sensitively and responsibly in private woodland. We can also bring our Bushcraft skills to you and can operate on many other sites in and around the Peak District.
Friends and Family Breaks
For friends and family, Moorlands Bushcraft provide day and weekend bushcraft experiences, and, because most of the skills will be new to everyone, are a great way for the family to have a shared and common experience.
Children's Bushcraft
Children's Bushcraft parties are a perfect way of celebrating a birthday. The children's bushcraft party will include shelter building, fire by friction using a bow drill and use of a fire steel, a campfire, Kelly Kettles, hot dogs and marshmallows and some natural cordage work.
Educational Groups
Five hours to be split between up to five groups.Content depends on group sizes but could include shelter building, fire, cordage, cooking. This will help fulfil 'Learning Outside the Classroom' requirements.
Moorlands Bushcraft have also brought bushcraft skills to schools to support Duke of Edinburgh Award programmes.
Stag and Hen Groups
The adult's bushcraft stag party or bushcraft hen party will be a bit more grown-up. We will include some survival skills training and proper campfire cooking, but the bit that everyone wants to do, young or old, is the fire by friction!
Corporate, Team Building and Away Days
We can put a course together to fulfil whatever your requirements are and at a location of your choice, subject to its suitability for Bushcraft! Course content will be designed to satisfy the outcomes required, the needs of the group and the budget available.
